6 Week Course
"When I heard Anna scream from her room at 6:30 this morning, I thought something was terribly wrong. Thankfully, it was a shout for joy as she found out she went from a 960 to an 1100 on her SAT. Thanks for giving her the confidence to go into a testing situation and come out with a respectable score."
Providing the most comprehensive standardized test preparation SC Test Prep offers, our 6-Week Courses raise participants’ SAT scores by an average of 165 combined points. Students are taught the structure and scoring of each test, as well as strategies specific to each subject and question type. Students are also taught appropriate test taking psychology, including practical tips to overcome test anxiety. Weekly diagnostic sections, amounting to 3 full practice tests, allow students to recognize their personal strengths and weaknesses, increasing the effectiveness of individual practice and further preparing them for test day.
SC Test Prep strives to make our 6-Week Courses geographically and financially available to middle-class families in the Upstate: Courses are held quarterly in Spartanburg and Greenville, each designed to lead up to a particular test date. Unless otherwise noted, all meet on Sunday afternoons from 2-5pm, a time demonstrated to be the perfect fit in most busy students’ schedules. Through donor support, we provide 18 class hours, an ACT/SAT practice book, and printed materials at the below-market price of $495.
